Job Title: Team Lead
Department: Logistics

Objective:

To lead and oversee end-to-end export–import and logistics operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and on-time delivery while driving process excellence, team performance, and seamless coordination with internal stakeholders, customers, and regulatory authorities.
Direct reports: ASSOCIATE

Routine Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end export and import operations, ensuring timely execution of shipments in line with dispatch plans and customer requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute export and import logistics through shipping agents, freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and other service providers.
  • Supervise container stuffing, customs clearance, and shipment dispatch for international consignments.
  • Ensure all shipments are executed on time and as per agreed delivery schedules, proactively handling delays, damages, exceptions, and shipment issues.
  • Coordinate import activities including communication with foreign suppliers and fulfillment of all import-related requirements.
  • Manage Advance Authorization (Import) and ensure timely fulfillment of export obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade Policy, Customs regulations, DGFT norms, and destination-country statutory requirements.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain all export–import documentation such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Bills, Bills of Lading/Airway Bills, Certificates of Origin, and insurance documents.
  • Apply for, file, renew, and manage statutory registrations and certifications including FSSAI, APEDA, Spice Board certificates, and DGFT registrations.
  • Guide internal teams and customers on Indian Spice Board regulations, Customs procedures, DGFT norms, and foreign trade compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate soft and hard copies of EXIM and logistics records for audits, inspections, and statutory reviews.
  • Analyze purchase orders against available inventory to optimize shipment planning and logistics costs.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and other logistics service providers.
  • Manage container booking, freight finalization, service provider selection, and marine insurance coverage for all shipments.
  • Handle insurance claims related to transit loss or damage and ensure timely settlement.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control the logistics and EXIM department budget and verify bills from CHAs, shipping lines, transporters, and vendors.
  • Communicate with overseas customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and shipping-related queries.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies for approvals, inspections, and clearances.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Production, and Quality teams to align export–import plans and ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare and submit regular MIS, shipment performance reports, compliance updates, and cost optimization insights to management.
  • Monitor export–import performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure clear understanding and adherence to customer-specific legal, statutory, and documentation requirements for each destination country.
  • Ensure food safety compliance at the shop floor for export consignments and exercise authority to stop production or reject material in case of deviations.
  • Manage and control all export–import activities of the organization with full accountability for compliance, cost, and performance.

Job Title: Shift In charge
Department: Production

Objective:

To execute daily production schedules efficiently during the assigned shift by ensuring uninterrupted operations, optimal manpower and resource utilization, strict quality and safety compliance, accurate SAP data capture, system documentation, and effective coordination across functions.

Routine Duties & Responsibilities

Production & Operations

  1. Execute daily and shift-wise production schedules as per plan.
  2. Allocate manpower, machines, and resources efficiently to meet production targets.
  3. Ensure availability of raw materials, utilities, and consumables before and during the shift.
  4. Monitor production flow, output, and downtime; take corrective actions to minimize losses.
  5. Maintain accurate records of production output, material consumption, and idle time.

Quality, Safety & Hygiene

  1. Monitor product quality throughout the shift and initiate corrective actions for deviations.
  2. Analyse QC rejections and coordinate necessary corrective and preventive actions.
  3. Ensure adherence to hygiene practices and shop-floor cleanliness standards.
  4. Enforce safety protocols, ensure proper PPE usage, and promote safe work practices.
  5. Report safety incidents, near misses, and quality deviations promptly.
  6. Audit preparedness & readiness
  7. Business Excellence activities coordination
  8. Adherence to FSMS, Quality system standards applicable to the specific unit

Manpower & Shift Management

  1. Supervise, guide, and support operators and technicians during the shift.
  2. Monitor workforce discipline, productivity, and compliance with SOPs.
  3. Train and Develop team members
  4. Ensure effective shift manpower deployment based on operational requirements.

Maintenance & Equipment Coordination

  1. Coordinate with maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns.
  2. Support preventive maintenance activities as per schedule.
  3. Ensure safe startup and shutdown of spray dryers and associated utilities.

Documentation & System Entries

  1. Ensure accurate and timely SAP data entry related to production activities.
  2. Maintain precise records of production, rework, downtime, and material usage.
  3. Prepare and submit detailed shift handover and takeover reports for continuity.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  1. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and Dispatch teams for smooth operations.
  2. Align shift priorities based on production plans and dispatch requirements.

Decision-Making Authority

  1. Allocate and redeploy shift manpower as needed.
  2. Stop production in case of quality, safety, or compliance risks.
  3. Initiate rework as per approved procedures and guidelines.

Who We’re Looking For

A go-getter with a hunger for results and a flair for flavor. You’ve got:
  • A postgrad degree in Sales & Marketing
  • A background in Food Ingredients, Spices, or Seasonings is a BIG plus
  • 8–10 years of B2B sales experience (if you’re awesome and slightly short, still apply!)
  • Ninja skills in negotiation, communication & multi-tasking
  • Confidence to speak the language of R&D, Procurement, and Chefs alike Bonus Ingredients (Not Mandatory, But We Love to See It!)
  • Knowledge of Indian & International spice markets
  • Experience in managing channel partners
  • Understanding of food safety/regulatory frameworks like FSSAI, BRC, HACCP
